To the left is our digipak advert that has been used to promote our digipak, giving an idea of what is too come within our video. We have gone with the same faded affect that we decided to use to begin with on our digipak, we feel as though this gives it a girly feel and suits our target audience. In addition to this, this relates the the difference in colours that we use throughout our music video. We have also made our logo present too ensure that anyone who views this understands that we are a band, and with this being in a variety of colours this gives us a chance to produce various different medias that have the same image/look but incorporate different colours, using synergy throughout our products. Pink is a reoccurring colour through all of our products; our logo, the pink balloon. Our songs and our main single is also visible at the bottom of the page, which was inspired from Rihannas.
Secondly, this is our inspiration for our digipak advert. As shown, this advert has the same affect that we have decided to use; the fading. With Rihanna having a significant use of the colour red, she has enhanced this within the image and has incorporated a red faded overlay too give the image a more mysterious look. Her red hair and lips are a significant feature in the advert and the front cover of the album, highlighting the use of synergy. With Rihanna having a different album name too her artist name gives her the chance to use different types of text where as we have only included our band name as our title of album is our band name, due to this being our first album. However, her main songs have been located onto the front of this advert, which we have also decided too do, too ensure that our target audience becomes aware that it is us- Vanilla that sings "On Our Own".

Interview Research
Magazine Article Development
Above shows the two different magazine articles that have been produced and the final product is still underway. The top image is the closest too what the final article will look like as there were several problems with the first. For example, it was not a magazine article it looked more like a poster and did not have a magazine feel. There is no distinctive columns, it is not adapted in comparison to a normal magazine article, in addition, it has more of the vanilla brand image, than a magazine brand image; like billboard. Therefore serious changes needed to be made to ensure that the magazine brand image was apparent and it was in the right size columns and the text was correct.

Music video Draft 3
Since the last draft we had spaces nearer the end of the music video that hadn't been filled with footage therefore we added in more shots of the three of us. As this is the third draft we were able to show the development of the video and how precise the shots have become. From the feedback of our evaluation we were told that we should re-shoot to include a larger variety of shots - so we chose to go back to Hylands and shoot more add in shots to add to the end and throughout the video.
Looking back on it we have many things that need to be tweaked and edited to make it look more professional. These include:
- There is a tractor shot where the camera jumps - it makes it look unprofessional and ruins the shot (1:21)
- The frame of the shot is wrong as it doesn't fit in with the youtube frame or match any of the industry standards
- At the start of the music video the lip syncing is just out of time (the first minute) as it is slightly out it makes us look as though it isn't us that are singing
- at this point we still hadn't applied and editing so that is also a must to make our music video improve - contrast, brighten etc
- The shots are too different in brightness - (2:18) - between Sophie and Pip, Pip is really bright and colourful and Sophie is dark and cloudy. This contrast doesn't fit well together therefore we need to edit sophist shot to s brighter scene or change the shots so they rant shown next to each other.

Digipak draft
This digipak has been developed over the past week and we have shown both our teachers and peers and received feedback on this.
- Top left image is too squished and looks out of proportion.
- Why are all of them wearing the exact same outfit in each image? If they are in double denim they should wear this in the video as well.
- I like to theme of the balloons and this creates synergy throughout the products.
- The CD looks too artificial.
- Need the writing for the production company on the back with the list of songs.

We decided to create a Gif for our fans as it gives a sneak peek to our music video and we feel that this will keep our fans loyal to us a as a band and to keep wanting to follow us until; the video is released.

Music Video Draft 2
Above shows a draft of our music video and the progress we have made since the halfway evaluation. Since this time, we have had a reshoot incorporating significant props (balloons) within the video to ensure synergy is noticeable throughout the video in conjunction with our promotional work; digipak, poster, magazine. We have also edited a lot of the footage to make it look more crisp and ensured that all of our lip syncing is in time with the music. We still have a lot of progress to make, however we are making a lot of improvement every day.
We have also received feedback from our teacher when she watched this video, she suggested:
- We need to sort out the contrast and brightness with the majority of the shots to ensure they are all equal.
- We need to test out different ways to merge the split screen together (near the end of the video) to make us look less segregated when Renae is singing "sticks and stones".
- We need to go over all of our cuts between each shot to see if we can match them up more significantly with the beat of the song.
- We need to cut out bits of video where the camera jitters EG pip on the tractor.
- Remove the footage of pip walking away from the camera. (2:01)
- Rearrange some of the single shots so that the same person isnt next to eachother after each cut. EG pip walking on the logs and pip in the corn field (1:47)

Vanilla Logo
These are two examples of the logo that we wish to use to promote our brand. We have chosen to use both colours across all promotional work such as the digipak, the magazine and the tour poster. As a result of having our logo analysed by other peers and our teachers, this logo received the most votes as opposed to the guitar and another microphone that was not significant enough.
One feedback comment about the first logo with the guitar was that there was no synergy with the logo in comparison with the video or other aspects of work as we do not include a guitar. On the other hand, the microphone was the best design as we all singers which we link with the rest of the album.

Vanilla logos Drafts
First draft
This was our first logo design. We really liked the font of the logo so kept the font but we decided that the guitar as the 'I' did not fit with out group as we did not feature a guitar in the video or any instrument so did not look good and can be seen as misleading.
Second draft
We then decided to change the 'I' to a microphone. however, this one we used looked dull and is not 100% clear it is a microphone so we looked at different microphones to use for our logo which is more bold and more unique to our brand.

This was our final draft and logo we are using that we all agreed on. This is as we used on old fashioned microphone for the 'I' as it's more unique to our brand and shows it more that we are a singing music group and that its a music brand.

Merchandise research
For this task we researched merchandise to inspire us for our own merchandise for our group. We looked at our main influence Little mix and checked out their website to look at the different kinds of merchandise they sell. This included clothing such as t-shirts, hoodies and hats.
